Josh and Co. took a short break from filming ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ in Paris to hit the Cannes Film Festival yesterday. See photos from the photocall!
Josh attended Lionsgate’s ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ party at a private villa on May 17, 2014 in Cannes, France. Josh was joined at the event by his co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Sam Claflin. See photos below!
As we predicted, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” was the big winner at the MTV Movie Awards, taking Best Movie, Best Female Performance (Jennifer Lawrence), and Best Male Performance (Josh Hutcherson).
Josh and Sam accepted the Movie of the Year award for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The film beat out 12 Years a Slave, American Hustle, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and The Wolf of Wall Street for the win.
While accepting the award, Josh delivered a special tribute to their late co-star Philip Seymour Hoffman.
“I also want to say real quickly, I know that if Philip were here, he would think this is really cool,” Josh said. “And to have him in our movies was one of the coolest things in the world. He’s one of the actors I’ve looked up to my entire life and we think about him every day on set. So wherever he is, this definitely goes out to him as well.”
The 2014 MTV Movie Awards host Conan O’Brien just might rig every category at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards so “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” star Josh Hutcherson wins EVERYTHING. We would not mind that at all, would we?
According to the list of guests published on the 2014 MTV Movie Awards website, Josh is going to be in attendance, and he is going to be seated right next to his ‘Catching Fire’ co-star Sam Claflin (see photo below). There is a good chance we’ll also be seeing him on stage since there are tons of Catching Fire-related nominations! Don’t miss the award ceremony this Sunday, April 13th at 9/8c!
