Actors Ben Foster, Sally Hawkins, Michael Fassbender, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Mads Mikkelsen, Lupita Nyong’o and Jason Statham and directors Gavin O’Connor, Paolo Sorrentino and Jean-Marc Vallee are also on the membership list with Hollywood’s top casting directors, cinematographers, costume designers, make-up artists, animators, producers, moguls and documentary makers. Filming has wrapped on “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2, the final chapter in the cinematic adaption of Suzanne Collins’ dystopian young-adult novel trilogy.
“That’s a wrap. Thank you @SuzanneCollins Thank you @Hibbits Thank you HG Fans. Other than that, I’m speechless,” tweeted executive producer Nina Jacobson.
We still have to wait until Nov. 21 to see Mockingjay — Part 1, let alone what fans already know will be the gut-punch-packed Part 2, which is scheduled to hit theaters Nov. 20, 2015.
As we predicted, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” was the big winner at the MTV Movie Awards, taking Best Movie, Best Female Performance (Jennifer Lawrence), and Best Male Performance (Josh Hutcherson).
Josh and Sam accepted the Movie of the Year award for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The film beat out 12 Years a Slave, American Hustle, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and The Wolf of Wall Street for the win.
While accepting the award, Josh delivered a special tribute to their late co-star Philip Seymour Hoffman.
“I also want to say real quickly, I know that if Philip were here, he would think this is really cool,” Josh said. “And to have him in our movies was one of the coolest things in the world. He’s one of the actors I’ve looked up to my entire life and we think about him every day on set. So wherever he is, this definitely goes out to him as well.”
The 2014 MTV Movie Awards host Conan O’Brien just might rig every category at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards so “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” star Josh Hutcherson wins EVERYTHING. We would not mind that at all, would we?
